The Board of Trustees of Public Affairs (Dissolved 10/7/2026)
Restored by ordinance on May 4, 2026, the Board of Trustees of Public Affairs was intended to operate as a statutory, three-member body responsible for the management, operation, and maintenance of Perrysville’s public utility systems under the Ohio Revised Code, including infrastructure oversight, personnel management, rate establishment, and operational bylaws.
However, because the board never held a quorum or became a functioning body since its reestablishment, Village Council passed an emergency ordinance on October 7, 2026, pursuant to ORC Sections 735.271 and 735.272, to formally abolish the board and establish the position of Village Administrator. Following this ordinance, all administrative duties, management, and operations regarding Perrysville’s public services and utilities have been transitioned to the Village Administrator under the direction of the Mayor and Village Council.
